We know you may have questions about what it's like to visit
and worship at Affinity. We want to put your mind at ease.
What can I expect on my first visit to Affinity?
From the time you pull into our parking lot, to your entry through
our doors, you will be welcomed by members ready to greet and
guide you as join us in worship. After our Greeters welcome
you, our Ushers will assist you with seating or any directions
you may need. If you're early, join us for Sunday School in
the main sanctuary, or for coffee in Horton Hall.
During service, don't be surprised when all visitors are asked
to stand. But you can take comfort in the fact that you won't
be asked to speak as we formally welcome our visitors as a congregation.
How will I know where to go?
Greeters, ushers and members are here to answer any questions
you may have or offer solutions on where you may need to go.
How should I dress?
There are no formal dress codes at Affinity. Come as you are!
We are a casual congregation with only one thought in mindcoming together as one to worship the Lord. You'll see a
variety of styles of dress at Affinity, and you won't be judged
if you dress in your denims or your great new designer outfit.
We are here to worship and praise our Lord, not the latest
fashion trends.
What is it like to worship at Affinity?
Jubilant. Educational. Spirit-filled. Warm. Inviting. Inspirational.
Inclusive. From the inspirational songs rendered by our choirs
to the thought-provoking scriptural based sermon from our pastor,
right down to the member sitting next to you in the pew, you
will feel as though you've been attending Affinity forever.
It is an inclusive experience with a special bond of love that
Affinity is known for. And don't forget, we'll make a special
time to welcome you to Affinity as our cherished visitor. But
our welcome doesn't stop there. Be sure to complete a Visitors
Card and you'll see first-hand what it's like to be a member
at Affinity.
I have kids, is there something for them to do?
Yes, we have Junior, Youth and Teen Church covering grades K-12.
During the early part of our worship service, the kids are
dismissed to attend their church service. We welcome you to
ask a Greeter about the location of the classroom for your
child's age group.
