Out of his compassion for people in need, Jesus went about
teaching, preaching, and healing. Out of that same compassion,
he instructed his disciples to, "ask the Lord to send out
workers into his harvest field." The same compassion that
motivated Jesus motivates us to share the love of Jesus with
others. We are called to be the workers that the Lord sends
out into the harvest field. The harvest that Jesus refers
to is the thousands of people who have yet to be reached
by the Love of God that we have come to know through Jesus
Christ.
We call the effort to reach people with the Good News of
Jesus Christ, "Missions."
